This Looks Like A Normal Wedding...Until You See The Fourth Bridesmaid!

We all want to share our most fantastic and memorable experiences with our loved ones.
And what could possibly be a more beautiful, momentous occasion than a wedding? We’ve seen plenty of things that have made weddings extra memorable, whether they were planned or not.
There have been crazy coordinated dance routines, unexpected wedding guests, and astonishing, tearjerking serenades. There’s really no end to the marvelous things that can happen at a wedding.
Photographers — and husband-and-wife team — Julie Melton and Dutch Huff, of Sweetwater Portraits, documented a wedding that had the most wonderful surprise. Christine, the bride, invited someone very dear to her heart to the wedding. But she wanted that person to be more than just a guest — she wanted her to participate in a slightly more active way.
Read on to find out how Christine celebrated her wedding with her loved ones. Please SHARE if you loved this story as much as I did!
Christine and Patrick Quinn (who, by chance, share the same surname) got married on May 2 in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Christine had a special someone standing by her side that day. It was her grandmother, Betty — or, as everyone knows her, Nana Betty. On the big day, she stood proudly as one of her granddaughter’s four bridesmaids, in a beautiful, dark purple dress.
Christine loves her grandma dearly, and considers Nana Betty to be one of her closest “friends.”
“While she doesn’t live that close, we have continually made it a point to spend as much time together as possible,” she told The Huffington Post. “She just has an amazing sense of humor and outlook on life that I strive to emulate every day. Everyone loves her.”
Nana Betty has never liked being the center of attention; thus, Christine had not expected her to agree to come on board as a bridesmaid.
“She asked me about 10 times, ‘Are you sure?’ and ‘Why would you want an old lady in your bridal party?'” said Christine. “A few times she even said, ‘All of your bridesmaids are young and pretty, why would you want me?’ “
Thankfully, Nana Betty agreed in the end. “She had the entire wedding party laughing with her words of wisdom and funny comments throughout the day,” said Christine.
When the ceremony ended, Nana hopped on the party bus with the rest of the guests, instead of “going home to rest.” According to Christine, she danced through the night and even had a wonderful time dancing with the groom’s grandmother, Bellsie.
“You’re only as old as you feel, and I feel young today,” said Nana Betty on her granddaughter’s wedding day.
