Cop Sees Girl Walk Into Police Station, Acts Fast When He Looks Behind Her
A little Detroit girl wandered into the city’s police station with a shocking request that a cop behind the desk overheard. As soon as he looked up and saw what was behind her, he acted fast, bringing several other officers out to the lobby.
Detroit has become overrun with violence and depravity, where thugs outnumber police officers. With the recent unrest from the Black Lives Matter movement with a target on cops’ lives, this particular police department is on high alert, bracing themselves for the next wave of racist attacks. So when a 9-year-old African-American girl walked in the front door, they weren’t sure what she was doing there, until she made a sudden announcement and cops saw what was in her sack.
Saturday was Samya McLaughlin birthday, but she wasn’t spending it at home or at a park with a cake, presents, and friends. She was standing in the lobby of the police station doing something else, with the help of her parents who were right behind her.
The 9-year-old girl had been watching the news recently with her grandmother and saw the horror unfold in Dallas. Her family didn’t shield her from the reality of the world we live in today, sincerely answering her questions about why so many people who look like her are attacking cops who protect us. This didn’t sit well with Samya who canceled her birthday plans to celebrate the day by doing something incredible to show the cops that their lives matter.

Using her own money, the little girl put together dozens of gift lunches for the officers — made up of sandwiches, chips, fruit, and a cookie — then marched down to the precinct to surprise the cops with her gift for them on her birthday. When one officer saw her come in and heard what she was there for, he quickly called the other cops to come out and see what she had done for them.

“I was thinking that I should feed the police officers because I wanted to show them that I support them and I thank them for all that they do,” Samya said. “I wanted to show them that all lives matter.”
They certainly felt her love in a very fearful time for them, but this thoughtful good Samaritan didn’t stop there. After her good deed was done at the police station, she went to the local homeless shelter where she passed out 30 more lunches to the needy, made and paid for by her, reported.
“It makes you feel proud,” Samya’s father, Sam Walker, said. “She has a big heart and she knows how to care, and she knows how to appreciate what’s going on.”
Samya’s parents should feel proud of her, but also themselves for raising their daughter right. In a community where hatred for law enforcement is justified by contrived racism against them, this family proved that this angry mentality can either be prevented by good parenting, or perpetuated by their own bigotry.
