When A 93-Year-Old Veteran Stepped On Stage, Toby Keith’s Response Put Me In Tears
Throughout his career Toby Keith has never shied away from showing his support for our troops, but what he did last week will bring a tear to your eye.
During an encore at a show in Charlotte, Keith welcomed 93-year-old retired Lt. Col. Harry Frizzell to the stage to sing the country star’s hits “American Soldier,” and “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue.”
“See what a true American hero looks like.”
Frizzell, a veteran of 35 years, proudly served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Once Keith had finished singing, he handed Frizzell the microphone.
“I’d like to say a few letters here,” Frizzell began, as the crowd sat in silence, “God bless America!”
As the crowd went wild, Toby Keith appeared to get very emotional, and seems to have even shed a tear or two.
Toby Keith surely wasn’t the only one who got a little misty-eyed during this moment. I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t choke up at the end. God bless you Toby Keith, and our troops.
God Bless America!
