...delighting the crowd with his swinging hips.
William Stokkebroe became a YouTube sensation in 2012 when the internet fell in love with his nimble moves to Elvis’ “Jailhouse Rock.” The boy from Aarhus, Denmark, had just turned two years old, and wasn’t at all shy about delighting the crowd with his swinging hips.
Clad in a checkered shirt and dark jeans, the toddler shows off his moves with a surprising amount of muscle control for someone so young. At the end of his performance, he takes a large bow while the audience claps and cheers.
Young William spent plenty of time watching and learning from his parents, Kristina and Peter Stokkebroe, who are world champion ballroom dancers. It seems that dancing is in William’s blood, too.
William’s video quickly went viral, first among Danish audiences, and then throughout the globe. His video has amassed an astounding 31 million views, finding internet fame that his parents probably never imagined. Many people are referring to him as the “next Elvis,” and “destined to become a star.”
According to the boy’s father via Facebook, William continues to love dancing and performing. In 2014, the little star managed to secure himself a dance partner named Linda. The couple was affectionately dubbed the “world champions” of the competition, and we can see why!
