This Rescued Lion Refuses To Go Anywhere Without His Blanket, And The Reason Is Adorable!

The lion is the king of the animal kingdom. We’ve all seen this representation in films, TV shows, and cartoons.

Lions dominate their landscape and instill fear in all who come face to face with them. Well, one lion is currently breaking the mold on that count.

A private owner bought a lion cub for their toddler after being inspired by watching the ‘The Lion King’.

While the dedication to one’s child can certainly be appreciated, it’s neither legal nor safe to own a lion, and soon the Global Federation of Animals Sanctuaries was contacted and began looking for someone to take the lion cub, who was at that point named Lambert.
lion
Vicky Keahey, who founded In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center (an organization in Texas) took the call.

Keahey saw that Lambert was as tame as could be expected and took him into In-Sync Exotics, giving Lambert a permanent place to call home.

When Lambert first arrived at his enclosure, he began to pace about nervously just after getting his bearing.
Keahey thought about Lambert previous living situation — in a home with a family — and provided him with a blanket to use as a makeshift bed.

After that Lambert became much more comfortable in his new home.
More changes came for Lambert as he adjusted to his new environment.
lion
In his old home, Lambert had never been given raw meat to eat, but that, of course, is a very important nutrition source for a growing lion, and Keahey soon provided him with a whole new variety of food.
That’s not all. Lambert discovered all sorts of new fun activities upon coming to his new home at In-Sync Exotics.

True to the organization’s name, while there Lambert discovered a very exotic hobby for a lion — skateboarding.
lion
As a cub Lambert loved to play with plastic supply tubs, and this passion transferred itself to more difficult rolling objects as Lambert developed and grew.
lion
Now, he’s quite a good skateboarder, and may soon be giving Tony Hawk a run for his money.

Now Lambert has grown quite a bit.
He has a gorgeous mane to go along with his new skills and new home.

At just over one year old, Lambert has developed and has quite a long and happy life to look forward to in his lovely home at In-Sync Exotics.
His life is never short of food, blankets, skateboards, and even birthday parties.
The services of In-Sync have provided Lambert with an incredible life, and the non-profit (which is, yes, accepting donations to help other animals like Lambert) is working hard to keep Lambert’s quality of life up as well as extending their services to other exotic animals.
