Hillary Clinton and the media blasted Trump for weeks after he said he would only accept the election results if he won.
Irony of ironies, Hillary Clinton declined to immediately give a concession speech.
There were sassy tweets sent.
There were smart-alecky reasons given.
Political epitaphs written.
There was lament and gnashing of teeth.
While others mused of ways the concession speech would finally be delivered.
It was initially reported that Clinton wasn't going to concede. Her campaign chairman, John Podesta told their supporters the race was “too close” to call and to “go home” after Trump's continued surge.
But it seems Clinton was hit with a reality check after more battleground states were called.
While Clinton declined to give a concession speech right after her defeat, she did call The Donald to congratulate him.
That disappointed some people.
But it turns out the timing was perfect.
According to Trump, Clinton congratulated him and he thanked her in return for her service to the country.
