In order to maintain healthy skin and keep yourself blemish-free, showering prevents oils in the skin from building up. This is important especially if you work out and do intensive exercise.
However, fans of really really long showers may be disappointed to learn that  these also don’t do your body much good. Too much shower time can strip all of the oils from your body, leaving your skin feeling dry and flaky. On the plus side, no one will complain about your funky smell.
